Estate Sale Déjà Vu: Placitas Edition — “Wait… Haven’t We Done This Before?”
This weekend, Estate Sales by Wings invites you to our 3-day Placitas, New Mexico sale, and fair warning… it may feel a little like you accidentally hit rewind on life. As you exit I-25 at Bernalillo and begin heading east toward Placitas, you may suddenly find yourself thinking, “Hold on… I was just here!” The pink signs? Familiar. The winding roads? Familiar. The wild horses judging your driving choices from the side of the road? Extremely familiar. At some point you may even question reality itself. Is this a dream? Did I accidentally travel through time? Did The Man in the Pink Shoes invent a treasure-hunting time machine? Nope — this is very real. You are indeed headed to a sale in the same neighborhood as the one we held just three weeks ago. The only difference? That final turn. And oh what a turn it is. You’ll begin climbing a hill so steep that halfway up you may wonder if your GPS secretly dislikes you. Then, as you reach the top, there may be a brief moment of panic where you think, “Surely there isn’t a road on the other side of this mountain…” Fear not, treasure hunter — there is.
We promise. Once you arrive, please park safely and leave room for fellow adventurers because this sale deserves a crowd. Before heading inside, take a moment to enjoy the incredible view because Placitas likes to remind us all it is showing off. Then come on down and let’s do a little name dropping. If those names mean something to you, the phrase “arrive early” should also mean something to you because we have an original Irby Brown painting that may just cause your art-loving heart to skip a beat.
