Estate Sales by Wings has officially wandered north and apparently stumbled into the treasure vault of Santa Fe. Seriously, this week’s 4-day sale feels less like an estate sale and more like someone accidentally opened a portal between a fine art gallery, a high-end trading post, Santa’s workshop, and your coolest rich aunt’s dream home. If you spend next week hearing about this sale secondhand from friends, acquaintances, or that guy at the restaurant booth next to you who somehow always finds “the good stuff,” you only have yourself to blame. This sale is beyond OMG territory.
We are talking artwork that will make you stop mid-step and question whether you accidentally paid museum admission. Names like Gorman, J. Yazzie, Pe-eh, Frederick Remington, Star Liana York, Katalin Ehling, Nate Tafoya, and Diego Rivera are waiting inside this home like they all got together for the fanciest family reunion ever. And remember folks… this is still an estate sale. You can actually buy this stuff. Somewhere a museum curator is stress-eating crackers just thinking about it. If sculptures are your thing, prepare yourself emotionally for a carved green sea turtle that looks like it’s literally surfing through the room, a stunning bronze Native American sculpture, and a large Remington bronze that may cause spontaneous gasping, clutching of pearls, or temporary loss of treasure-hunting composure.
We also have THREE tables full of rugs because apparently one table simply could not contain the fabulousness. The furniture in this home is gorgeous enough to make you rethink every piece currently sitting in your house. Every room feels like its own tiny movie set filled with treasures, including Native American pottery, mud men, storytellers, and enough beautiful décor to keep your eyeballs busy for hours.
The kitchen is packed, the left garage features a full-sized marlin supervising the operation like some sort of aquatic security guard, and the right garage has transformed into Christmas headquarters because apparently Estate Sales by Wings believes every season should happen at once.Patio furniture? Yard art? Yep. We’ve got that too. And for the grand finale, if your home happens to have 20+ foot ceilings and you’ve been thinking, “You know what I need? A Christmas tree visible from space,” then congratulations, we found it for you.
Santa Fe… we are coming in hot this weekend, and The Man in the Pink Shoes strongly suggests you arrive early, wear comfortable shoes, and maybe stretch beforehand because this sale is a marathon, not a sprint.
